This week, I’ve been in the city where I seem to spend most of my time — London. For a Scottish student, I’m in London an awful lot more than the average person.
Although I try to stay with friends to save £££, I usually end up in an Airbnb. To make the most of my trips, however, I always stay in a new area — just so I get to know London better. This time around, I’ve been staying in Brixton. Because of my countless jaunts, friends always ask me: “Where do you go in London?”
Before living in London last summer, I probably wouldn’t have been able to recommend things with as much confidence as I have now.

Buy Lush: The Lush in Liverpool Street Station is the best. It’s small, but they have everything (and the staff are really cool).

Buy Vintage: Blitz Vintage, Nordic Poetry, Vintage Market by Truman Brewery
Buy Makeup: Liberty London has EVERYTHING, Boots Regent Street

Brunch: C.R.E.A.M , Hash E8, Ozone Coffee
Lunch / Dinner: Cook Daily in Box Park , Andina on Shoreditch High Street for the best Peruvian food EVER , Nobu in Mayfair for sushi if you aren’t paying
Dates: Golden Bee (rooftop bar at night), Electric House, Yard Pizza’s patio when it’s warm
Get coffee / study: Timberyard on Noel Street , Ace Hotel
Get my brows done: Nails & Brows in Mayfair
Get my hair done: Q-Cut in Kew (Ask for Syd to cut your hair, Alicia to colour it. Yes, it’s worth the hike).
Get Drinks: Ace Hotel [get their truffle fries after a few drinks — trust me], Hoxton Holborn , Shoreditch Grind
As I post this, I’m laying on the floor in St Andrews (I have a back injury and can’t sit down haha). I’ll some how bang off all my deadlines…
